Lydia Circle - Main

Lydia Circle is a group of ladies within our Christian Church of Stockbridge which takes its name from Lydia in Acts 16:14-15. Lydia, a believer in God, after hearing the gospel taught by Paul, accepted Jesus as her Savior and she and her whole household were baptized. She then offered her home and hospitality to Paul and those who were with him.

Lydia Circle takes its mission of hospitality and service from the example of Lydia but even more than that, we follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ who said that He came to serve, not to be served. (Matthew 20:28)

Lydia Circle oversees the preparation of the Lord's Supper and the placement of fresh altar flowers for each Sunday service. Providing showers and receptions for times of celebration is also the circles responsibility.

The most important aspect of this group of ladies is that of loving one another and lifting each other, and others also who are in need, up to the Lord in prayer. Prayer is the emphasis in Lydia!

Lydia Circle helps support Central India Mission, The Pregnancy Resource Center in our own community, and Christian City which offers hope and help to young and old alike. Many local needs are acted upon also by this group of ladies.

This circle includes women of all ages and meets at 6:30 pm every third Thursday of the month in the church fellowship hall.

Like Lydia, women of Lydia Circle meet together to pray with one another and ask God what he would have them do. Please join us!
